Welcome to the USS Menard APA 201 Website
UPDATE:
Check out the
pictures of
a authentic USS Menard MASTER-AT-ARMS Badge. We are unsure of it's time
period and any information will be appreciated. Just drop us an email. This
treasure of a find was donated by Gregg Trubee, who found it in a storage room.
Thanks Gregg! We should have better quality pictures in a week or 2, so check
back to see them. This will also be at our next reunion for all to see and hold,
and possibly wear!

Glad to see you could stop by the official USS Menard APA 201 Reunion
Association website. We have fixed the log book (remember to sign it), added the
roster, put up a memorial page, and updated the entire site. So take a look
around and if you have any questions or comments, feel free to email us. We hope
you enjoy the new look.
In the year 1989 Jim Geralis from the USS Menard APA 201 decided to try and
locate a few shipmates for a reunion. Twenty turned up in Atlantic City, New
Jersey. Friendships were rekindled fast.
Since then we have had reunions in Fort Wayne, Indiana - Fresno, California -
Mobile, Alabama - Oshkosh, Wisconsin - Kerrville, Texas - Seattle, Washington -
Bardstown, Kentucky - Albuquerque, New Mexico - Carrolton, Georgia - Portland,
Oregon - Branson, Missouri - Colorado Springs, Colorado, - Pensacola, Florida, -
Postfalls, Idaho - Salt Lake City, Utah, and Wichita, Kansas.
Reunions are hosted by a USS Menard shipmate in different states each year. If
you are a crew or friend or family of a crew member, would you be interested in
hosting a reunion? If so, please contact us.
Dues are $15.00 per year or $150.00 lifetime membership. Dues help support
activities and letters to keep all informed. If you are interested please
contact us for more information.
We acquired the ships roster in 1992 with names, rate and serial number only. In
1994 we learned about the computer telephone directory for the whole USA. With
this directory we have acquired the correct address and telephone number for
many shipmates.
If you can remember the names of any USS Menard shipmates not on our roster
please send us a e-mail. It will help locate shipmates that we are looking for.
You can check names against our ships roster on the roster page. There it has
the crew members we have located and the ones we are still looking for. Any help
in this area would be greatly appreciated.
I hope you enjoy the website.
Please don't forget to
sign the log book. Check back often as the website is updated on a regular
basis. |
